The New York Knicks take on the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum on Monday night. The Knicks (4-16) sport a record that essentially captures the essence of their season thus far, and they’ll check into Monday’s contest with a six-game losing streak. New York’s latest stumble came Sunday afternoon, when they dropped a 113-104 decision to the Boston Celtics. Julius Randle paced the Knicks with 26 points and supplemented them with five rebounds and two assists. Dennis Smith, Jr. followed with 17 points, seven assists, one rebound and two blocks. R.J. Barrett furnished 16 points, seven boards, one steal and one block. Kevin Knox contributed 11 points, five rebounds and two blocks. The Knicks will likely list Elfrid Payton (hamstring), Frank Ntilikina (back) and Marcus Morris (neck) as questionable at best for Monday’s game. Reggie Bullock (back) remains out. The Bucks (17-3) are on the opposite end of the spectrum from their opponents, as they’ll check into Monday’s contest looking for their 12th straight win. Their most recent triumph came at the expense of the Charlotte Hornets, which they dismantled by a 137-96 score on Saturday night. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 26 points and added nine rebounds, four assists and one steal. Khris Middleton contributed 15 points, four boards, three assists and one steal. Wesley Matthews managed 14 points and three rebounds. Robin Lopez delivered 13 points, six boards, four assists and three blocks. Dragan Bender poured in 12 points, while D.J. Wilson and Ersan Ilyasova generated matching 11-point tallies. The Bucks will be without Sterling Brown (shoulder) on Monday. Thanasis Antetokounmpo (illness) will be listed as questionable and Brook Lopez (back) will carry a doubtful tag. The Bucks won the four-game 2018-19 season series with the Knicks by a 3-1 margin. Monday’s game is the first of three 2019-20 meetings for New York and Milwaukee.
